If I share it, I don’t have it?
Something limited definitely,
Or something that can’t be shared really.
It can be a limited sum of money
Which I need badly
To buy my things needy,
Or else I shall perish surely.
It can be a lifeboat for a single person,
Which I can’t share for obvious reason.
If my life is in peril,
By sharing it, I am inviting the devil.
As it is, we are all a little selfish,
And to live longer is our cherished wish.
So, certainly we will not share,
To put ourselves in danger, we will not dare.
If somebody wants to share my life partner,
Well, marriage is meant to be for ever after.
If I share, it means I shall not have my man,
By the side of whom I stand,
Now for decades, patiently,
Having born all types of moods tolerantly.
In this relationship, there is simply no sharing,
For otherwise, much trouble would be brewing.
Can I share my heart?
Then I won’t have it.
As it is, I have many more poems to write,
And this is my right,
My own dear beating heart,
So why does anybody want to hurt
Me, and take my precious life
I have treasured despite so much strife?
