Let us welcome 2022 enthusiastically,
With fresh hope, yes optimistically,
Putting aside our frustrations,
And forgiving even those who cannot be forgiven.
.
Our irascible temper (if we have) and inhospitality,
Should be cast aside to invite more humanity.
With the wind should go our selfishness,
Replacing it with amity and selflessness.
.
In case we have not provided for days festive,
Envy of others should have no place on New Year’s Eve.
We should manage to cut our coat according to our cloth,
And certainly, repent for our years of sloth.
.
Hopefully, turning over a new leaf,
Will give us cool relief,
And bring heart-warming smiles,
Cleansed of impurities, to cover many more miles.
.
And with a bright cheer, full of gratitude,
To the Lord, filling us with fortitude,
With countless blessings, showing mercy,
Let us offer our thanks humbly.
.
And with renewed confidence,
With merciful providence,
Our faith restored plentiful,
We shall certainly fly to realms beautiful!
.
With this goodness-standing-supreme attitude,
Of kingdom come on earth, with gratitude,
Let us cast aside malicious feelings repentantly,
And celebrate the year 2022 resplendently.
