Facing truths from the past
A human face on the mirror
Reveals distaste with extremes.
Teeming with gaze at lights
Malaise and decay
Wrap his or her head.
A beautiful music on the background
Tone down the tyranny
Allow to speak in low voice.
There is tidiness in the air
A slap on the face
The unintended resonance.
We speak life here
A place not worth going down
Stars laugh at the spirit of openness.
The poem conveys in short bursts the dilemmas of modern day life with its sense of immediacy and urgency.
True enough,’Truth’ is a perfect “slap in the face”……on our not so desirable worldly ways ,which the “stars laugh at……” from up there!——the music seeming to “tone down the tyranny”!
Thanks Louis and Lokesh for your wonderful comments. Much appreciated.
