a breach of trust
so virulent
like a piercing shrapnel
i run to the sea
teary eyed
seeking a lesser pain
of sinking my body and soul
Engulf me in the waves
never bring me back
turning back for just a pause
witness so much love around
like a harvest of romance
from the seeds of love
Probing again
why its famine for me
when there is a feast around
where is that trust
that cemented the bond
why do I have to go solo
in a sonata of duets
hunched on the sands
i dig deep
twigs and broken shells hurt my fingers
as i seek to touch
the deeper zones
hoping to find
trust that slipped
among this same shore
A work with deeper thought over love and it’s swirls of different shades
Thanks Shamsher. Your comment is more poetic than my attempt! Thanks a lot!
Nicely penned.
Big Complement Vineetha, coming from you. Your works are far too greater!
This poem engages the reader with its piercing examination of alienation caused by life’s vicissitudes.
