Touch And Go

The wait wasn’t worth it.
Years of passion curtailed,
desires suppressed,
His tears un-shed
My thoughts unexpressed.
Meals unshared,
yet dreams ensnared.
You came,said “Hi!”
A casual formal chat,
And it was goodbye.
