To Mark Your Departure

The day waited with abated breath
since You had to leave.
I was devoid of pulse in pulsating heart
And with no breath to heave.
We were meeting after centuries of separation,
And you were to go again .
For uncountable moments for me,
for days, weeks and years of pain.
But yet the moment was momentous,
and I wanted it to be etched.
Etched in the annals of time
and on veins of his mind.
Eternal mating and a final stab
Left him in my custody,
To mark the special day.
