Wish I’d been Rose, Lily, Tulip, Orchids,
A carpet laid with innocence of kids,
Petals fragrant, soft, enticing that give,
Spreading messages of love and let live;
Wish I had been moon, stars twinkling beside,
Showering silver rain every night,
Soothe charred hearts, lulling them into sweet dreams,
Sans worries of world and its so called seams;
Wish I had been river flowing downhill,
Quenching weary travellers’ thirst at will,
Fending tiny fish to birds and wild beasts,
That wandered near its banks searching not feasts;
Wish I had been winds blowing from north west,
Guiding ships’ sails over blue oceans’ breast,
Bring good tides to tradesmen and fish,
From dawn to dusk fulfill every wish;
Wish I’d been mother nature, head to toes,
Inviting world to know wonders from close,
Enchant, please, inspire minds vexed, tired and sick,
Melt depression, smiles appearing quick.
