The showers of success and the blaze of disappointments,
both go hand in hand..
Those who are victorious and those who face defeat,
both go down under the time’s sand
To dream,to look up,to try and to perform,
these are the instruments for
human use off and on.
Wings of imagination,
and the chariots of passion..
fuel the human life
and give endless satisfaction.
To look back through pages of time,
one got to make some real attempts.
To rise above fear, regret, sneer and contempt.
If some win, some got to lose,
If one wears the crown ,others just stand and pose..
That is life.
That is life to struggle, make trials and
face courageously..
this world full of pain and strife.

” This is life ” , exemplifies all that is best in a poem that deals with and addresses the existential concerns of our everyday lives. There is something unmistakably elegiac about it with more than just a hint of Blake.
