A soft, crumpled thing,
Got crushed under my feet
In the daily rush of life.
I didn’t take any notice
For days,
What lost life under my feet.
The other day, I felt lacunal
When I got some time
To think about myself, I had
the sensate perception of
Having a void near my breast bone.
Hence I got the time, sometime at least
To mourn the demise of my very heart.
From the next day,
The life continued as before.
An emotionally erudite examination of alienation.
Mechanization…twin loss of intensity of feeling and empathy…caught so well.
Alone adrift! Love it.
