The Journey

The Journey

I have journeyed with my shadow
So far along, this twisted road;
Climbed mountains
Descended valleys –
To the sea.
These boots have dusted souvenirs
From many foreign lands,
They are worn and torn, a little,
Just like me.

Perhaps there are places
Where my footprints still have rest?
I know that my shadow, has long gone.
For the wind of time, is heartless,
When it blows.
I have carved my name on temple walls,
Of many a lost god,
And on the sands –
Where the sea rules –have erode.
