The fire of rage

They bring him shoulder high
Clad in tri color gasping sigh
I am told to torch his pyre
But I lit in me a fire of rage,
A fire of rage……..
They praise him worthy to be loved
A gentle person who cared to love
Leaving a void in our hearts……
As he dashed on to the peaks
To save Kargil from the treachery of foes
He laid his life for his country-men
To live in peace, free of fear.
They bring…………………
Mourning whispers ….whimpering…..
Sorrow and grief roaring up….
A bold comrade turned brave warrior
Bravo! Bravo! Applauds from everywhere!
They bring…………..
Days ago, he was a loving dad
Playing and rejoicing with us lads.
A caring son of grandma dear
Planning the future with mother aside.
They bring………..
I see my mother’s veil so pale
I hear her shattering bangles cry….
With bouts of crackling noises dry
Pearls of tears flooding by….
A snow clad curtain on to our face
To ashen our dreams of bliss and joy…..
Our star of light drifted up
Just leaving a vacuum in our life.
I pray to my fellow men
Do quit the unfair plays
A cut throat wouldn’t blend
The border lines …….
A life isn’t born to be slain,
But, to live in peace.
