The Colour Choice

My soul is stained in red
Whenever I think of You.
Pain is red ,So is love
White is soul,So is dove.
They contrast well,
Maybe that’s why the colors allotted.
If given a choice,
I will choose brown for soul and dove
And green for pain and love.
So that every time it stains,
Greener it grows.

Colours have long been associated with moods and emotions . The poet brings together the concepts of pain and love , soul and dove , first in the stark contrast of the colours red and white , and then in the subtle contrast of earthy red and life- renewing green , almost syneasthetically .
