Tasting the blow….

The howling winds caressing my hair
Turned into the chains that choke me
I gasped for breath and breathe in the poison
He came and swept me off my feet
With one mighty blow on head
I lost my last breath before I saw him
Saw him relishing the blood from my wound.
I woke up centuries later,
I see the blood on the floor
I smiled and licked it again
“Yeah, it was worth the patience, it was good.”
I come alive again.

Vivid and visceral. This poetic vignette seems to have its origins in a passage from a genre novel or screenplay.Somewhat of a change of pace and style for this particular author, though not unlike another Destiny Poet-Iulia Gherghei.
