Tangent or Circle

It was indeed a reviving sunrise
early morning it made me rise
happy cheerful and full of life
every day is just the same otherwise…
last night I was exhausted and full of ache
burden of life weighed through the day
rushing, pushing and brushing myself
against odds and evens off the shelf…
disappearing slowly in the sinking sand
only tips of the bugles seen of the band
vicious cycle of life and death
fading music and thin wrinkled hand…
earn and burn and turn against wrongs
ruthlessly scattered across ones path
round and round we go in circles
just like a game of dice and obstacles…..
just like a dog that chases its tail
moon rises when the sun sets sail
all in unison with the universal law
planets, moons and stars prevail…..
what goes tangent is an asteroid
it crashes, burns and buries its pride
falling stars though bless the souls
which pray and wish for an uneventful ride…

A good rest makes one view the world in a new light . This poem gives expression to a common experience : “ the world is too much with us “ !
