Take me away

Where the good suffers

And the bad prospers,

Where billions feel

The deep traumatic spectra

Of rejection,

Where blood flows in a flood,

And leaders quietly woo

Women of their choice,

Where human emotions

Fluctuate with ambitions,

Where society’s masks and hides govern

And the real genuine ones cry,

Where the arts are fading

And artists are knowing a slow death,

Where insanity and fake wisdom

Are battling for Truth,

Where vice grows as weeds

And virtue perishes as flowers,

Where the koels

Have stopped  singing

Songs of joy

And are instead singing

Songs of sorrow,

What shall I do in this world?

O my Lord, take me away.
