Red Rose of Hamlet

I surrendered to the hamlet
as a beautiful seizure
when you hijacked me
to the island of your heart.

In the go, my resistance
waned as pretence
when the alienation
was a sweet adventure.

A bite I felt on my soul.
The untasted sweet pain
released an intense cry.
The delirious signature
embalmed the wound.
I remained same.

A bleeding red rose
holding freshness
on its sparkling dew
splashing scent as feelings.

The vase now my new abode
and hamlet my grave!

The Thorns

Another scribble in a gap of few minutes during the evening duty in the OP unit yesterday.
It all started from the word “Abscond”, which just happened to pass my mind. And the first three lines came along with it. But to be honest, I didn’t know what “abscond” meant in dictionary when I wrote the first stanza. I checked later of course. And decided to keep it. And write on.

The ridiculing howls
Of midnight winds
Abscond my dreams ~
They were once
Soothing melodies ~
And the silence is not
Quite lovely…

Why I would
Keep dreaming
Is sometimes
Beyond me;
I try to find
Lest I’ll never
Find myself…

I glide the pen
Across acres of fields
Of rose beds
And sunflowers;
And yet only
The thorns of roses
Bother to graze…

Ice Rose

Frozen flower on window pane
Caught in glorious pose
Crystal necklace, interwoven
Waterdrops, a perfect rose
Soul sculptured ice rain
Seducing rays of sunshine
On glass before my face
Turning ice into steamy sublime
Clouds of thought that race
Stirring someplace inside my mind
A frozen rose, an ice rose,
A memory imprinted on my heart
Since before the start of time
Melting illusions of reality
And me.
