Fury of Earth

Black clouds hovering

Catastrophic wings stretched

Curse over life immortalized

When her silent pleas and sober tears

Maneuvered by modern mannerisms

When winter snow melts and vaporize

When monsoon summer storm blaze us

When spring renamed as autumn

Everything alters at gale speed in the wild run.

The greenhouse gas perspire non stop

Her greenish lacquer deserting her fame

We jeopardised her heavenly rhythm

In her fury the pristine icy shields melt.

Whenever she closes her eyes, storm broke

Tremors shook mountain peaks and ocean abyss

Hurricanes, cyclones and tsunamis have a bash

When the strings of harmony is gamboled

She sucks tranquility from the nerve of life

It is a warning bell seeking our attention.

Yet the world is languor and heading in muse.

As if everything is in perfect normalcy.

Though the death knell is ringing afar

Still in ignorance we remain deaf and blind.

Hey, listen all, before her tolerance breaks

Before silent sea engulfs and the desert succumb

Before the mankind sunk by avalanche of screams.

Let us wrap and fetter our harmful tantrums.

Else be ready to get spin by her twister and

Reduce to mere debris..

Monsoon Blues Again

Once I wanted to die in the rain,
But today, I stare out the window
And no such beautiful pain
Touches my heart, no such tow…

Despite the emptiness in my chest,
The earth drinks her share,
Leaves me to listen, but no zest
Dares me, like I’ve not a care…

Now pain defines its own absence,
And how much I miss what showered
When pain coupled with elegance,
While hurts towered, poems flowered…

Let Earth burn, explode, become past tense
tottering under the onslaught of violence
Let soulless bodies gently slide
into the cosmic chasm, deep and wide.

Gun-toting youth, ships fallen to pirates,
rain of death on a wedding stage
Game of blame, a talk-show, a threat
Yeah, anything to grab a piece of fame
Writhing lives, infernal mines
Sorry images, sordid love loops.
Milk every tear of an unlucky survivor
yoke the stories, get the big scoop
Hold fast to power, it’s a tiger’s tail
A tsunami, a Katrina to divert, to regale.
A breaking story, soon a deleted mail
Text, tweet till the battery fails.
Be the leader, be the first
to lose our humanity, to curb our heart
Illuminate our houses, darken the globe
they are giving it free, so let’s fight for more
On and on till we succeed
in mirroring the fate of the dinosaur.
Stop! think! Do we want any more?

Death shrouds bomb blasts, yet we will take the train.
If the roof is blown away, let’s party in the rain
Mend broken bridges, pull down the barbed fence
Better late than never, to make humble amends
Nothing to lose, if we can all earn our bread
and refrain from shedding a fellow being’s blood
Leave the killing to the beasts of prey
Follow our hearts, let nature lead the way.

Let soulful music gently glide
across love’s oceans, deep and wide
Live life with a pinch of common sense
lest our Earth burn, explode, become past tense.

Nature’s Siblings at the Shore

Flesh witnessing water tumbling over stone

North wind breathing hard and chasing waves come crashing home

Eternal rhythm of rocks spitting foam

Sending whiteness skyward, outward into crannies as it roams.

Wave spilling over itself to greet each rock afresh

Weaving, heaving forward in a wet power press

To endure this ceaseless motion can the rocks alone contest

Stubborn ocean conversation, the one I love the best.

Me watching ancient daughters of mother earth converse

My hair flies as wind surges and so together purse

These three sisters in Nature’s song and ever endless verse

They have the power to cast a spell or dissolve a wicked curse.

When I am no longer standing watching from the shore

The waves will greet the rocks from now on till ever more

Realizations of Eternity, I too am Spirit at the Core

When I listen, I am present, in the NOW, not the after or before.
