It’s dark and it’s raining
on the window sill droplets dance
a lullaby, a story from afar
It’s cold, It’s late
the blue tv light is keeping me awake
lost in vain dreams, apart from life
it’s spring in skies, it’s windy time
hope bursts its buds all over me
fresh, newly skins, sneezes announcing
spring
I was able to visualize the scene while reading, which means this poem was a success.
Thank you kindly, Kenn Allan!

Thank you so very much, Rashmi Malapurp!!! Most honored!!!!!! Love and respect!!!
” Dark ” and ” Raining ” are usually perceived by the reader as inauspicious auguries with which to commence a narrative. What is the poem’s narrator watching on the TV ? a late night Hitchcock movie perhaps ? And you’re never quite at ease with the words ” announcing spring ” ,perhaps the doorbell will ring announcing something less welcoming ?
Spring is a season of pain for me, winds and rains have the bad habit to bring back my sinusitis, my cervical nerves are getting inflamed…. and so on… I bare this season only as a prelude to summer… when usually the pains give me a break!! Thank you so much, Louis Kasatkin!
Once more I caught your poem but believe I did not see the name of the writer. A very sweet , short and lovely poem. I love the spring season then rainy season. Thank you so much for sharing.
Thank you so much, ramesh rai!!!
