Price of the Soul

Price of the Soul

I saw your soul in the
Bank account
Stuffed and buried
in the Cash
Trying to speak
and express
But unheard
Due to the vacuum of desire.

You kept it aloof and apart,
Preventing it from Going
where it belonged.
She is sad and disappointed
But you think your mind can
Make her clam…

She wants to fly on the
Green mountains filled with stars
On desert of happiness
To the world filled with love
And you traded it with papers
And the things; which grow old.

But I want to tell you that…
You got a very little price
when You sold your soul.

About Sameer

Hi, I am from Mumbai (India). Film making is my passion and writing is a great relief. When ever I want to say something or felt about something I used to write poetry. I Started Writing poetry at an early age during school till now. Its the way to say what I feel most of the time about the things which happen around us, a unique way of sharing thoughts without being judgmental.
