Pleasures of unrequited love

I loved you with depth of my heart!
Never thought of growing apart.
Then you met a sassy tart,
Who knew love making’s that forbidden art.

I held onto you as if my last forgotten breath,
I assured you ,your departure would be my death.
But forbidden pleasures proved more luring than my devotion,
Who knows!May be she had some virile magic potion.

Now with you gone,I have all the time in the world,

I can pursue all knowledge and be a nerd.

I long now my own company, I am my own best friend,

To love oneself is the current mantra and I have proudly started this new trend.
