October Rain

Wet yet warm
Rain sounds
Mood high
Sky not blue
Café lonely
Without you

You came
For a cup or two
I left
For an errand to do
Now at the table once more
It’s raining just like before
Wet yet warm
On earth’s thirsty floor.
