My Desires

Oh, the queen of my life!
Be with me till I last breathe
I have lived my life with you
How can I die when you are not around?

You have been with me
Since I am here
Be with me with all your spice and flavour
Till I leave this world and say goodbye to all

You have never left me alone
Never leave me till my journey ends here
You are always with me
Irrespective of where I am
Heaven or hell hardly matter
Be with me at the moment
That stands in between life and death

You are the motivating force
That pushes me hard
But for you, I am what I am
But for you, life is so full and captivating
A paradise on earth
But for you the shades and colours of life,
The footprint of man on the moon
The triumphal car of science in air and water.
For you my dreams and reality
Pleasure, pain and anguish
Without you how dull and colourless life is?

My commitment to you, don’t doubt
Lived my life as you wished
Chased you like a lover mad
Never for a minute
Thought a conscience I have
A life independent of you
Even in my dreams I ever dared

My desires! I listened to you all along
Listen to me once
Never make me the cause of someone’s tears
If possible let me be the reason for someone’s Happiness and pleasure

My friend!
Be with me when I leave
I will take you to the other side
Hope you will drag me to this world and
Let me live my incomplete life and dreams
I don’t want salvation
I don’t want to be the ocean
I will be a drop of water with a longing
To be one with the ocean
There lies the beauty of life
I want to come here again and again
To love life, to be with its aroma and awesome beauty
To pray and meditate, to live and let live
To feel Him who is the architect of all this
To remain the object, the object of love
Being my Father, the Almighty
What to do with knowledge and nirvana
I don’t want to be God
The attributes of whom I can hardly fathom
Let me remain His son forever
See and sense Him
Wherever my eyes and ears go
And what lies beyond me and my perception

  1. amitapaul

A poem of deep philosophic reflection about the human condition reflecting the stream of consciousness of the poet . Stanza Four frames an exclamation as a question reflecting a tentativeness of position .

  2. Pushmaotee Subrun

A philosophical approach to life, very profondly inked…’I want to come here again and again
To love life, to be with its aroma and awesome beauty
To pray and meditate, to live and let live’…
