My constant companion

It began as cry of my heart in puppy love,
It consoled me by listening to all that I had to say.
It kept me company in the lonely lanes,
It was the drug that kept me sane.
It was a self chatter in the beginning,
With acceptance I addressed more and more,
And it became my reflective countenance,
To whom I confide whether happy or bored.
Matters of the heart, failures and feats,
I celebrate all with the wave of verse,
Writing plethora of emotions sucked in together,
I still don’t know how to be succinct and terse.
On this poetry day.21march 2013.
