Mirror Mirror

By Dr Swati A Gadgil

Mirror Mirror on the wall,
Who’s the fairest of them all?
Do I like this question at all
I want to take a call….
Can I imagine my Self
only as a Self?
just a Soul
with powers to dwell…
born with a heart
to feel the pain
born with a brain
to measure the gain,
speech, hearing and vision
touch, taste and locomotion
But No Mirror
face no entity
as looks don’t matter,
I want a world
where I only see others
how ‘I’ look
should not bother,
My hair My eyes My nose
My lips My ears My brows
I don’t care…..
thus eliminating distractions
in my path of Salvation….
Bless me God with selective vision
where I understand multiplication
and never indulge in division
seeing You in Every Body, Every Person,
they being the medium of Your expression….

Thank you dear Louis. Yes, it just gushed out of my mind as I realised how life would have been different if there were no mirrors.

Yes, truly I long to get on to a spiritual path in the literal sense but my profession holds me back….mother in me holds me back…. taking care of my husband and family becomes the priority and finding God within this profile is an Art which is to be professed
