Lost and Found

He was there for me, where were you?

You cut me down, He pulled me through.

You crushed my heart, He loved me still

I fell apart, but He never will.

You are strong but you were wrong

Love may last forever but respect and trust are gone.

I cried an ocean which you will never see

I didn’t deserve all that you did to me.

I wish it was true that you’re a better man at last.

He is my future, you are finally my past.

About God’s Girl1

Hello I write about what I know and I just try to let the words flow from my heart and soul. I have one of those minds that never switches off and because my poems are pretty simple I find the process very therapeutic and releasing for my mind too.

This poem builds a strong foundation of premises based on dichotomy and contrast and then offers an optimistic resolution of the dilemma posted by the dichotomies in the last three lines which unify the whole narrative .
