It’s a nice place to be

It’s a nice place to be

It’s a nice place to be
In the soft light of the morning
I am comforted by the one-wing butterfly.

In a line of flight
The birds shed their memories
Hum low tunes,

Until now, the patterns changing
they will carry with us the shadow
I cannot respond to silence easily.

Roads roll on to liberty
Dreams with snowflakes and tall waves
With no plans of clear skies.

I do not know what I wish to carry
A slender moon, blazing summit
In the breath of fire.
