Get up and Shine Again!

How can you be heart- broken so pathetically

When your blood is still circulating in your body profusely?

Come on dear lady!

You have life in you currently,

Not to mourn over one person’s insincerity,

Not over some reckless insanity,

With intentional cruelty,

But to thank the Lord for ALL your blessings infinitely!

Think of the really shattered ones,

 The downtrodden ones,

The homeless ones,

The handicapped ones,

Left to the vagaries of fortune,

To dance to life’s awful tune,

With no support whatsoever,

With rejection all over.

Or still, think of those gasping for precious breath,

Fighting between life and death!

Surely you have the love of your parents heavenly,

Bestowed on you unconditionally,

Why not appreciate their love fully

Those really caring for you undemandingly?

Get up now! Cheer up! Reward yourself,

Thank the Lord for the boon of life,

Cast away your morosity,

Help the really needy,

Resort to intervention divine

Surely, He will sort out everything, peace will be thine.

With much more self-confidence boosted

And realisation of your worth hoisted!
