From gross to the subtle

Look at the sun
It shines the whole day
Before it fades with all its colours
And makes a dignified exit
From the main theatre
With a commitment, it will come back once more
After a fixed interval with all its splendour
It never complains and walks all the way
From morning to evening with matchless vigour.

Look at the moon
How beautiful it looks
How spellbinding is its graceful touch
How slowly it moves and touches every heart
From the new moon to the full moon
It is a journey from peace to tranquillity
From gross to the subtle
From incompleteness to completeness

Look at the stars
They twinkle irrespective of whether
It is day or night
Whether there is a clear sky or cloud over
They smile and dance all the way
Unperturbed by whatever comes their way

Life is not complaining about
What you do not have
Life is to remain contented with what you have
And feel that you have
The best of the best of this world
Life is to live and die with dignity
Without being involved in either of these

Bhakti Philosophy lays emphasis on an attached detachment . As Guru Nanak preached to the Yogis :
    “ Anjan Maahe Niranjan rahiye
    Jog jugat eh paayiye “
( To remain unsullied in a world that is like kohl or kaajal
Let us strive to attain that skill of Yoga or Sanyaasa “)
The equivalent Western spiritual concept is :
“ To be in the World but not of it “ )
