For my Queen.

Sixty years of Service.

Sixty years of life.

And in-between,

all goes unseen,

a mother and a wife.

No privacy to speak of,

an ever open book.

Idolized and criticized,

by all who stop to look.

Born into a no choice deal,

still learning how to be.

You bore the Crown of England,

Became ‘Her Majesty’.

Through wars, and threats, and scandals,

Unflinching in your role,

You have led our Country,

Given heart and soul.

Gracious Lady

Thank You,

for all you mean to me.

May God Bless,

with peace and rest,

this year of Jubilee.

Thanks Louis, it doesn’t do her justice…….but I really wanted to write ‘something’ patriotic!
      God Bless my Queen.
