December song.
I see the days turn gray and it sets it’s mark…
the night’s now, getting so long and dark.
Lights in all kind of color and beauty…
shine like dead skin and glory.
December song…is not for those who’s life went wrong.
Decimated song…making nobody strong.
I see every open gate and guarded door…
covered in painted kindness for the poor.
Like king’s and Queens we will all fall down…
like the rest of us never have a crown.
December song…chasing happiness all day long.
Difficult song…is like the sound when all went wrong.
It is the time for kindness and the love for your next…
oh but all just a race for the perfect gift in your text.
I have no tears to share or a color of sadness…
I have what is left inside of me of the happiness.
December song…sound so very wrong.
Defaulted song…making us all so very strong.
An unexpurgated and candid poetic antidote to the vicissitudes that figure so prominently this time of the year.
Insightful and engaging.
The melancholic tone of the poem adds to its philosophical overtures.
