A night,
Dark cloud laden night,
The night with no light.
Blood shot eyes,
Blue lips,
Overgrown nails dipped in red.
Searching for a victim.
Any unfortunate soul,
Who has ventured out ,
Not fearing for his or her life.
Sound of a glass slipper,
Indicates a maiden.
She is no less bright than the moon.
Long tresses compete with the clouds.
Bright eyes lit up with embers of hope.
She has seen the worst,
She has no fears.
The man finally appears
To enjoy seeing her curled up in fear.
But she smiles.
She offers her hand and asks if they can dance!
She tells she wants to dance some more.
So what if the prince is not there.
She doesn’t mind company of this devil.
She is a modern girl, who.wants to enjoy
And as the devil takes her hand,
Poof!they vanish ,to the land of ever after.
The night is now lit with dark embers.

An engagingly out of the ordinary poetic divertissement.Sprightly and sardonic, its tropes reminded me of the 1975 movie ,”The Rocky Horror Picture Show”.
A gripping, gothic narrative.
