Cultural Exchange ( Vagarth World Poetry Festival – Bhopal 1989 )

When the poets of the world
Met at Bhopal
There was cultural
At both ends
As befits a city
That had
Previous experience
Of the same.
The poets listened
To the murder
Of their poems
By several tongues —
The poets saw
The future
Neatly laid out
On the table
While T.V. cameras
Catching them
In the creative act
Of tasting chewing
Swallowing digesting
