Often I wonder what a suicidal person feels or thinks
as my own mother did the deed
An alcoholic ballerina stood in front of the mirrors
A mother whose baby was taken from her…stood in front of the mirrors
A mother whose kid came to visit her telling stories about “her mom and the brand new sister”
A mother who had to became a friend for his own child
A woman whose husband was still pouring lies in her ear
All these persons in one single mirror
A broken doll with no alcohol
A truthful shard of silvered glass
No future left for an emptied body of any aims
Why not to flirt with death…then
Hope wears cotton slippers in this house…
as my own mother did the deed
An alcoholic ballerina stood in front of the mirrors
A mother whose baby was taken from her…stood in front of the mirrors
A mother whose kid came to visit her telling stories about “her mom and the brand new sister”
A mother who had to became a friend for his own child
A woman whose husband was still pouring lies in her ear
All these persons in one single mirror
A broken doll with no alcohol
A truthful shard of silvered glass
No future left for an emptied body of any aims
Why not to flirt with death…then
Hope wears cotton slippers in this house…
Extra-ordinarily haunting and enigmatic . This is poem that pierces the complacency of our everyday expectations of what poetry can achieve.
