soaked wet and dripping
…feel so cold and freezing
……heavenly droplets drizzling
………in misty eyes, tears shedding
hurt in heart goes so weary
…with burdens that are so heavy
……in days that come in dreary
………over and over a ceaseless misery
in a darkened corner was a cry
…a moaning from an angel sigh
……in wings that can’t bring her high
………into the clouds beyond the sky
to dream a dream once more
…like she always did before
……singing the song forevermore
………in a rhythm of waves upon the shore
among the ripples of water rushing
…from the depth a wreath crushing
……torn like a heart that’s breaking
………an angel’s heart is bleeding
on falling rain still wanted to fly
…with wings that will never dry
……like those tears in her eye
………believing a world without a lie
lost from the afterglow
…a weakened soul slipping slow
……like waters in a constant flow
………drifting from pains to draw
in a world, so dark
…without an angel’s hark
……the long nights with just a lark
………without a bit of heavenly spark
she will be there to remain
…stern and still under the rain
……without regret and without refrain
………an angel she will be in disdain
