( By Jan Phillips )
I was so depressed when I went to bed;
I cried “Dear Lord take me home instead”.
I prayed and prayed through the darkest night,
I didn’t want to see the morning’s light.
The Lord came down from Heaven above,
and folded me in His arms with love.
I felt His robes of softest cloth;
They floated around me like the wings of a moth.
I grabbed His robes and held on tight;
I was leaving with my life’s bright light!
In a voice which had no sound,
He said “My child you are still earth bound.
It’s not your time to go just yet;
You still owe me some earthly debt.
Your time won’t come for many years;
And during those, you will shed some tears.
Your life’s road will be up and down;
But remember, I’ll always be around.
I’ll be there for you through thick and thin;
Just ask my forgiveness when you sin.”
I went to sleep knowing I’d been blessed,
By a visit from my Lord as you may have guessed.
My life since then has been worry free;
Because I have more faith in the Lord, you see!
Wow! Very instrumental yet make one know that their not alone going through depression or a stressful day that they can call on the Lord for comfort, and sincereity, and love despite their sin and transgressions. Bless you Jan. Keep praying my friend.
Thank you very much. Pray without ceasing.
