You were a moment

You were a moment
Among a million forgotten
And a hundred unforgotten ones.
A moment,so delicate
Transient as a rainbow in a dew drop,
Yet gleaming with all shades.
With lies and pains
With fights and pleasures.
You were a moment
In which my past faded
And future drowned without marks.
A moment hesitant to stretch
Eager to pass away
With me and you, giving no trace.
You were a moment
I wished to hold between my fingers
While tending to vaporize under sun.
A moment I am in search
Under the dried leaves of my soul.

About Fathima Manal

Dreams, fantasies, words and rhythm-other than skin, bones and muscles I am made up of these. With every drop of blood that my heart pumps,a new dream forms in me.With every breathe,i take the surroundings too inside me.And my poems are just the minute regurgitants of what i accumulate within. I am a doctor from Kerala,India, who should not be supposed to but is in deeply love with words and books more than medical books.Hope you enjoy my poems......
