I met a long-bearded man called Bill,
He wrote his manuscript with a quill.

He then sharpened a wooden pencil with his knife
and embellished a caring letter to his wife.

With a sharp ink- pen,
He ordered the artistic letters in calligraphy to stand.

He then grabbed a ball-point pen
and requested it on light paper to be his friend.

Today he has PCs, laptops, tablets
and using keyboards and touchscreens,
he writes with no regrets.
