Worries never go away –
Like faithful dogs
They stay
Sniffing and hanging around
Half asleep on the lawn
Every day –
Long, licking shadows on the ground
Stretching to a yawn
Unhurried all the way
But watchful to what people say
Wagging from dawn
To dusk to dawn.
A gem of a poem.
Thank you so much,Gopal.
Brilliant allegory let rip.Canine allusions from Dogs of War to the Black Dog of manic depression referred to by Churchill; a challenging and satisfying work.
