When you leave
Leave the windows open.
Don’t draw the blinds
upon your receding back.
I shall be watching
till you disappear .
But you never do.
You are there in the breeze
that wafts in
the clove of your freshness
the mint of your smiles
the essence of your presence.
I remain
till the night brings
you back to me.
Through the open door
a powerful gale
overturning me.
This has the undertones usually found in works of Borges and others of the school of Magic Realism. The atmosphere is skilfully crafted ,and the reader is left with the feeling of never being entirely sure as to whom the narrator’s remarks are being addressed , is it another person or merely the elements ?
pretty enthralling or should I say-mesmerizing !
Thank you Dear Louis Sir and Lokesh ji:)
