WHAT TO ASK?
Seated on a high pedestal of truth,
she bows down to all life divine.
Many have come to seek her grace,
hands stretched, waiting under the canopy of divinity.
Many reach in front of her holiness,
with a heart full of saturated sorrow.
With a feather touch of compassion,
she clear wipes their fear filled eyes.
Entire congregation reaches before her,
unwinds desires of their minds one by one.
Each secures comforts of her benevolence.
walks away with hopes for tomorrow.
She was pleased as they walked away with a smile.
What they sought and got blessed for, were toys,
only played with it until another craving pops up.
I wonder when our desires would stop.?
I wish if I could reach you with folded hands in prayers.
I wish if I could wish that I do not have any wish at all.
I wish if I could ask for awareness of each moment I live in.
Oh mother help me ask right things for a righteous life.
I wish if I could ask for something that is everlasting ,
a piece of your heart, a heart full of love n’ Compassion
An age old spiritual dilemma resurfaces in a new context .
