What a weird world are we living in?

Those who possess do not produce

And those who produce do not possess.

Those who have the power to rule are ruled

And those who have no power to rule are rulers.

Those who have lots of food, waste food

And those who will waste no food have no food.

Those who are well-versed in the art of loving

Have no lover on whose shoulder to lean on

And those who live behind the facade of pretense

Have lovers in multitude hovering around.

Many are those who pass through myriads of trajectories

To  reach for an ordinary job to earn a living

And many are those who are appointed directly

For high positions without making the least effort.

And the bitter-sweet juices of life keep pouring,

The waves keep rising and falling

And roses keep blooming and dying.
