Vision

Flaunt your palmy eye

As if a world apart

Dwelt in its tear,

Clear of any predicaments.

I’ve come to stare into

Its whiteness of dainty

Rivers of red-

All proof of a challenge

One dearly missed.

As for the green-

I crave it to be mine,

A verdant companion

To my unversed moments.

I’d pull its socket raw

If armies of tears dared

Its viridescent trails.

Indeed, I stand a healer

Of broken sights,

Ínhabited by long lost

Apples of someone else’s eye,

Gazing at life shrinking

Down to a postage stamp.
