Unfurling the tricolor.

Years and years ago,
We Indians woke up from slumber
How could they rule us!
we overpowered them in numbers.
The realization hit us hard,
As we remembered
the golden past we had,
How could we wallow in pity on ourselves?
our foolishness made us sad.
Gearing up to get back what we were
the masses move out on roads,
the sweat and blood was sacrificed in plenty
It took a Gandhi,and a Nehru
and countless determined Indians,
To root out the invaders,
so called the most civilized lot.
And we finally Unfurled the tricolor.
Now we are left with the ultimate duty.
to save the nation and its beauty.
