Two women dominate my mind
They are the ones’ who guide my style.
I look up to them in moments of need
And their qualities fuel up my greed.
The greed to be somewhat like them,
Yet to be myself with my arrogance intact.
One is my grand ma-the eternal rebel
And other is my mother always so sensible.
One who called authorities by name?
For other responsibilities are interesting games.
One taught to fight always for my rights,
Other told me self dependence is way to might.
One a freedom fighter and an independent woman to core,
Other taught me how to fish and eat if I was alone at a shore.
The first guided me through my troubled teens,
Other has made me what I always should have been.
I owe my ideals and life and integrity to them,
They taught me how to be a respectable woman.
But to that I added my attitude not diluted at all,
For me every pain is worth cherished for life,
For me no loss is too big and no gain too small.
Two women in my life
