True love

I tried being patient, caring and warm
I tried to use all my innocent guile and charm.
I looked at him and patted my lashes,
He looked at me blankly which gave me gashes.
I still smiled and came closer to him,
But he moved further giving into his whim.
I played the music and sang love songs,
He remained secretive just like a Chinese tong.
I looked at him deeply and my glance went beyond,
I saw a charming child playing nearby,
My heart was filled with ecstasy, there will be no rebound.
The child hugged me tight and said sweet nothings,
I decided to embrace this innocence forever,
The virile men with their endless vanity,
And lost charm for me for I had discovered true love.
