Timeless

Early morning stroll in the haze as day dawns

Sunrise casts light over the water silhouetting iron pillars,

There is an air of stillness,

You stand proudly beneath a misty sunrise

In a luminous meditation on love and grief.

Your face gleams as the sun exposes the beautiful colours,

Your eyes peak through the standing stones,

putting together everything, assembling life-

You are very much there- elevated.

People may not notice, but that doesn’t matter.

Tall trees enjoy the autumnal glow,

It’s a time to unwind,

A flock of birds flying over the low land.

The field tinged with green and yellow,

Time is on your side, the clocks have wound forward.

” Timeless ” , captures a sense of anticipation as well as that of expectations about to be fulfilled.
