In tune with the rhythm of time
Slowly swaying to the melodious chime
Aware of the falling notes
Like a fast sinking boat
Tick says the clock
Life’s clock is ticking by
Telling on everyone alike
With every tick unfolds a new mystery
And every passing one encloses a history
Live for the moment while you may
You gamble on life, you bet
And with everything at stake you have no regret
For even with the win
You never forget
How you could have lost all
In the ‘tick’ of time
Offering the reader both insight and reflection, an otherwise acceptably well constructed poem is somewhat impaired by a jarring ,lengthy final line.
