The young girl and the poet

The young girl looked
At the poet in his eyes
And said,
‘Poet, when will you write
A poem for me?’
The poet looked at the girl
Whom he loved
But could not express it
In words.
He smiled and said to himself,
‘Girl, when will you know
That all the poems
That I write are for you
And you alone.’
