The two D’s

Over the years
the bright blue dawn
wakes sleepily
to the croon of
red sunny hues
and rides upon
chariots of cloud filled days
zephyr ridden
with silent steps
greeting humans
as they toil and pass
wondering when
dusk will draw nigh
that tired bodies may rest.
