The shine in your wandering eyes,
The way they stop at me,
They light up with love,
I bask in the sheen of thee.
The dimpled simper makes you glow
Their perfusive stretch keeps me alive.
Your nimble spirit may tire people out,
But they make my cosmos go around.
In today’s’ weary lives of ours,
You are my only streak of happiness, my son.
Poignant and tenderly written. The skill of the true poet is to address those matters which are potentially the most difficult, the ones closest to the heart.
Beautifully touching … I second Louis’ comment. 🙂
The last two lines are so touching..
thank you so much the Hon’ble Poetess Nalini Srivastava for posting such a beautiful universal poem as a tribute from every mother to her son. A great write. May God bless your son with all pleasures in his life.
